Joining us this week in the Bear Soup hot tub is NYC bear Wayne Hoffman. Wayne’s the woofy, brilliant, and funny NYC author of the new down-your-throat novel Hard. Wayne is an early Bears on Bears contributor and supporter and author of the novel Hard, to read from and discuss his book.
Following the interview with Wayne is a commentary on the tragic death of a friend and mentor, Eric Rofes, author, activist, educator, and bear extraordinaire. Eric’s completely unexpected and extremely sad passing was best eulogized in Kate Clinton’s Advocate article.
I could not make it to Provincetown for Eric’s memorial service and opted to stay home and light a candle in his memory. Although I did get plenty of work done in his memory that day, I needed to say something in Eric’s honor, and to reach out to Eric’s husband Crispin Hollings.
